The annual is 136 pages, featuring stories and illustrations produced by fans, as well as contributions from well-known names such as Alister Pearson, Smuzz, and Andy Walker.

The Master annual was originally announced last November, with a call for contributors. The following is an excerpt from the writer's guidelines: The Master is the Anti-hero. Sometimes saving people, not because of compassion or moral values, but because it suits whatever agenda he has. Of course, he can also be the villain, remember that meddlesome Doctor isn't around - and that's when villains come out on top.

The focus of the annual is the original Master portrayed by Roger Delgado. The cover artwork is a homage to the first-ever Dr Who annual that was released in 1965 by World Distributors.
We wanted from the start to send the message that the Doctor isn't here to save the day, he's gone, he's been replaced by a different kind of hero. And in the unofficial Master annual, we get to explore just how successful he can be. What could be more thrilling than exploring the Master's universe, without having the Doctor there to save the day.
The cover was illustrated by Paul Cooke and features original characters from the stories in the annual.

The publication follows The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1972 and The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987, which featured stories and illustrations produced by fans, as well as celebrity contributions from the worlds of Doctor Who.

The Unofficial Master Annual 2074 is available from Lulu at the print-on-demand price of £23.32 plus shipping costs). The annual is a not-for-profit publication, and none of the money paid by purchasers goes to the publisher or to any of the contributors.

The Unofficial Doctor Who Annual 1987 is also available, but will be retired later this year.

Later this year, Terraqueous Distributors will be releasing their fourth annual. This time the focus will be on the seventh Doctor. The Unofficial DR WHO Annual 1987 (Credit: Terraqueous Distributors )The Unofficial DR WHO Annual 1987 has now materialised and is ready to order.

Earlier this year, Terraqueous Distributors transport fans back to the 70s with the release of The Unofficial DR WHO Annual 1972, as 'World Distributors' elected not to bring one out for that year, creating a gap in many peoples collections. 34 years ago 'World Distributors' ended their run of Doctor Who annuals. So this time Terraqueous Distributors are taking us back to the 80's. The Unofficial DR WHO Annual 1987, is another bumper edition at 122 pages. and contains 11 stories, 2 comic strips, 10 features, 4 games, and more.

The annual also includes celebrity contributions from Frazer Hines, Alister Pearson, and David J Howe.
We are so proud and honoured to have our heroes, take part in the annual - although this time we also have a villian gracing the pages. Sil, is quite possibly the greatest villian the sixth Doctor has ever faced. And thanks to the kindness of Keith Barnfather, and Sil's creator Philip Martin, Sil has a couple of pages dedicated to him.
The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987 is published by Terraqueous Distributors and available from Lulu at the print-on-demand price of £21.64 plus shipping costs. None of the money paid by purchasers goes to the publisher or to any of the contributors.

A new fan production, celebrating the Doctor's greatest enemy, The Master, is planned by Terraqueous Distributors

The Master is the Anti-hero. Sometimes saving people, not because of compassion or moral values, but because it suits whatever agenda he has.

Of course, he can also be the villain - he's very good at that, and remember that meddlesome Doctor isn't around - and that's when villains come out on top.

The cover is a tribute to the original William Hartnell annual, recreated by artist Paul Cooke. Terraqueos said:
With the cover, we wanted to make it clear that the Doctor isn't around - this is not his annual. Fans of the classic annuals will notice that there are a few empty spaces, those spaces will be filled by characters from the stories within the annual, as the project progresses.
If you would like to contribute to the unofficial Master annual, please visit the Terraqueous Distributors facebook group for information on how you can contribute.

The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987Bookmark and Share

Sunday, 13 October 2019 - Reported by Marcus
Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987This November sees the release of the Fan project The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987.

The publication is the latest project from Terraqueous Distributors, who earlier this year released The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1972
It proved to be far more popular than we anticipated. Even before its release, people started to ask "what's next?

Well, we love the sixth Doctor, so the decision to do another classic-style annual was very easy. This time continuing from where World Distributors finished their run of Doctor Who annuals.

As children growing up in the eighties, collecting those wonderful books. A lot of fans were disappointed when after 21 years, the annuals stopped being produced. Those original 28 books (including two omnibus', a spin-off, four Dalek Annuals, and a k9 annual). hold such fond memories for us, that we felt the need to celebrate them.

Like our previous release, we have been blessed by the kindness of such well-known names from the worlds of Doctor Who, Frazer Hines, Alister Pearson, and David J Howe have all contributed to the publication, joining a large number of Doctor Who fan writers and artists.

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported this project.
The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987 is a not-for-profit publication and is released through LULU.com's print-on-demand service at a price to be determined.

The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1972Bookmark and Share

Saturday, 30 March 2019 - Reported by Marcus
The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1972It’s taken more than 47 years but Doctor Who fans finally have an annual for 1972 – with stars from the show among the contributors.

Manchester-based World Distributors began publishing the official Doctor Who annuals in autumn 1965, continuing until 1985, but elected not to bring one out in 1971. This left countless fans puzzled, disappointed – and with a niggling gap in their collections and on their bookshelves.

However, Mark Worgan – a long-time fan of the series and the annuals – was determined to do something about it and this star-studded, fan-produced, non-profit- making homage is the result.

He has published The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1972, which transports readers TARDIS-like back to the very early 1970s when Jon Pertwee had just finished his second series in the title role and the show was mostly Earth-bound, with the Doctor assisting the military organisation UNIT as its scientific adviser.

A whole host of star names from the show signed up for the project, including Katy Manning, who played companion Jo Grant, John Levene (Sgt Benton) and Richard Franklin (Capt Yates) – the surviving members of what became affectionately known as “the UNIT family”.

They and the large number of Doctor Who fan writers and artists have been joined by visual effects wizard, model unit supervisor and author Mike Tucker plus renowned artist Alister Pearson and Wayne Howarth – the son of Walter Howarth, who was the main illustrator on some of the original annuals.

And this is a truly bumper edition. The official annual for 1971 offered 96 pages, while the 1973 annual had 80 pages, but this one comes in at a whopping 184 pages!

The project was launched in September 2017, with people working on it in their spare time for free, and the hardback annual is packed with stories, puzzles, features and emulating and evoking the style, tone and quirkiness of the 1970s annuals, which were allowed a freer rein as regards their relationship to the programme than those later in the run.

Mark said:
It’s been hard work for everybody but I’m beyond delighted to be bringing this out, especially as 2019 is the centenary year of Jon Pertwee’s birth. The annual means a great deal to me. I was particularly thrilled to get all the surviving UNIT family on board for the annual, and I’ve been knocked out by the enthusiasm and talent of the contributors.

In 1971, when the official annual would have been published, the Doctor had been forced into exile on Earth by his people, the Time Lords, but the series’ production team still managed to take the show away from the confines of this planet and I was keen to do the same in the annual. The challenge was laid down and the contributors rose to it in style, so we’ve got a great balance of adventures in space and time.

The official 1972 annual may well have been lost in the time vortex – like the Doctor himself has been known to – but we hope fans agree that our version makes up for it and is worth the long wait.

Well, what’s 47 years to a Time Lord anyway . . . ?
So, that’s 1972 taken care of. But what of the years 1987 to 1989 for which – once again – no official annuals were forthcoming despite the show still being made, before it was cancelled until its one-off return in 1996, which was its last outing of the classic era?

There’s been a terrific amount of interest in this project, including a great many calls to complete the run of annuals for the classic era, so I’m pleased to say that I’m now going to be turning my attention to an unofficial annual for 1987. After that, who knows?!
Contributors and proofreaders, as well as an administrator for the Facebook page, are now being sought for The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987. Please contact Mark via doctorwhoannual@aol.co.uk if you're interested in taking part.

The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1972 is published by Terraqueous Distributors and available from Lulu at the print-on-demand price of £39.20 plus shipping costs (NB: VAT is not payable on books).

None of the money paid by purchasers goes to the publisher or to any of the contributors. Visit the website to order the annual.
